Meet the President

Leona Punzi was elected president of the Consortium of Information and Telecommunications Executives (CITE) in December 2006. Prior to being named president, Punzi served as the executive vice president from 2004 through 2006.
She has also served in the following positions: Vice President-Internal, Corresponding Secretary, and Vice President-Administration of CITE-New York. Her accomplishments include:
- Implementing the first online registration process for the 2003 CITE Conference on the national Web site
- Implementing CITE nomination procedures and form on the national Web site
- Developing and conducting the first National Black History Quiz
- Implementing October as Professional Development Month for all of the local CITE chapters
- Implementing the First IT Showcase
- Developing the first national brochure to promote CITE,
- Working on the public relations team to develop the CITE brand
- Developing the CITE bookmark to promote the CITE brand
- Co-Chairing the CITE 2000 Conference
- Developing the first mentoring circle in CITE-New York
As president, Punzi will work toward strengthing the CITE image through strategic planning, teamwork and developing strategic partnerships.
